George III Mahogany Hunt/Wine Table

RARE Late era George III Mahogany Hunt/Wine Table, with 3 silver plate coasters on a rolling triple decanter bottle slide. This antique table has a hinged horshoe top, with removable half-circle panel, and a newer brass and glass firescreen. Also known as a social table, this horseshoe-shaped furnishing was specially designed for serving beverages during a party or fox hunt.

The table features a brass rail , fitted with glass that, when hung with a curtain, can serve as either a fire screen or to protect the wall in the case of spills or splashes.

The table can also function as a serving table, as it includes a center leaf that can be installed to create a demi-lune surface.
