Matthew Linwood Sterling Vinaigrette
Early 19th Century Matthew Linwood Sterling Vinaigrette, chased with leaf pattern.
This rounded rectangular vinaigrette was made by one of Birmingham’s best known silversmiths, Matthew Linwood. It has bright cut decoration to both lid and base, with gilt washed interior. Perforated grill is missing. The hallmarks are clear.The hinges are good and the lids fit well. The overall condition is good.
Vinaigrette measures 1.5″ x 7/8″ x 1/4″
