Vintage Austin Cox Chess Set

Description

Vintage Austin Cox Chess Set, made for Alcoa Aluminum, circa 1962. This famous ALCOA Aluminum Chessmen by Austin E. Cox (1924-2015). The pieces were cut from aluminum bas and are natural and black anodized aluminum. The pieces range in size from 4 7/8″ for the king down to 3″ for the pawns,  mounted in a wall mount case measuring 30″w x 2 1/2″d x 6″h.
