Vintage Wedgwood Columbia China

53 pieces of Vintage Wedgwood Columbia China in excellent condition. The Columbia pattern was manufactured for 73 years by the Wedgwood Company. Columbia is a pattern with a rich history, going back 87 years to when it went in to production. The dragon-looking creatures on the pattern are a pair of mythical creatures facing each other with a trophy medallion in between them. This pattern was allegedly designed by Josiah Spode, who invented the method of placing designs on pottery & china in the late 18th century. He was also the founder of the Spode china company, later bought by Wedgwood.
